The value for money at this hotel is exceptional! The room was spacious with two queen size beds, perfect for a couple like us. The location was great, with several points of interest nearby. But what really stood out was the staff, they were incredibly attentive and made us feel like VIPs.
The breakfast selection could have been improved with more variety and quantity of food.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this old plantation in São Tomé. The peaceful and untouched colonial setting allowed me to truly connect with nature, while still being close to village life. The highlight was definitely the restaurant, where they served a delicious seven-course meal made from fresh produce grown on the estate. The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating, making this one of the best guesthouses I've stayed at. I can see why even the pickiest guests would return!
Can just recommend this hotel.

My room had a charming colonial feel, with tasteful art and bric-a-brac. The dining area was vibrant and colorful, and the open kitchen added excitement to the dining experience. The tasting menu was a delight for my palate, with inventive flavor combinations. The view from the roça was breathtaking, overlooking the bay and village below. The staff was delightful and provided excellent service. The gardens were extensive and perfect for exploring. I highly recommend Roca Sao Joao Dos Angolares Villa for a rich and immersive experience.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The colonial building has a shabby chic style with unique African-inspired modern art. The breakfast and tasting menu were both excellent. Additionally, there is a beautiful 2-3-hour walk through the jungle nearby. this hotel offers great value for money and I would highly recommend it.

Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely verandahs and amazing dinner. Multilingual receptionist, Ivan, and delicious local fruits. Relaxing atmosphere and good wine selection. Charming country hotel with exceptional food - for a real flavor of life in Sao Tome. Loved the beautiful colonial-style house, filled with art and historic objects. the room was well-decorated, with a spacious bathroom and a stunning sea view. the restaurant was amazing, offering a delightful degustation experience with explanations from the staff. the staff made the stay perfect and the whole experience was truly unique.
The hotel was a bit far from the airport, about an hour's drive, and we had to organize our own transport. the bathroom could use some renovation and the room was not the most comfortable.

Found it absolutely delightful that I had to pay for the airport shuttle service. What a wonderful way to start and end my stay!

The restaurant was always busy and had a nice ambiance. The breakfast had a good variety of fruits and the coffee was strong. The beautiful grounds and art gallery were nice to explore.
The wifi only worked in the lobby, which was inconvenient. There was a lack of information about the history of the place and the chef.
